With the rain comes paintings

Well, what a weird world we are all living in. The summer weather was lovely while it lasted and when it's nice I really feel the need to get outside, particularly while I'm working from home and stuck in the house and have been for the last 3 months. Now that the weather has turned and the rain has come I'm back to painting more. Also, it really helps with my mood, and while I've always managed my life in a way to keep me upbeat all those thinks have been turned on their head and my normal ways of coping with things aren't having the same impact.

A sense of achievement is a great uplifter and working in the garden and at the allotment has been good but painting is really helping on the damp days. So I've been playing around again with metallics and trees. just something a bit different.
I went on to paint a sea view, really lovely painting, I say that I love them all but this has got to be one of my all time favs. It's very calming to look at and also has got to be the fastest-selling painting I've completed, sold in less than 24 hours! To a lovely home which is always a relief for the ones, I love that bit more haha. Prints of this painting will be available in the next few months and will be put on my website.
I've recently applied to be a resident artist on the Artfinder website. Its something I've considered doing for a while but it like quite a big step, I've not heard back yet from them so I may not be accepted but still, I'm excited and also a bit proud to have had the guts to apply. So watch this space and I'll update you as soon as I hear anything.
