Soooo its all arrived, lights camera action! Well lights, tripod, and my own camera and a little bit of action, although I started to fall out with the tripod as I couldn't get it to do what I wanted due to complete lack of skill on my behalf. But so excited to be giving it a try, managed to get the lights setup pretty easily and bearing in mind the few tips I'd read online I took my first shots.
Not bad considering but defo got a lot more learning to do when it comes to photography, on the plus side I really do think that my little canon ixus camera is going to be just fine for the time being at least, and maybe I can save up a few pennies to buy something more substantial in the future.

Although it did look rather small and funny sat on top of the tripod!
It felt like a special moment, sad I know but there was something very cool about seeing my little paintings lit up in all their glory ready for their moment in the limelight, proudmoment.com
I've had notification that their frames will arrive on Monday so I should have those finished in the week and some final shots done to get them listed on site, as always I'll be sorry to see them go, but hopefully to lovely new homes and maybe all together too! I think they will look awesome.
I also managed to finish 'Summer Daisies' yesterday, and it will be glossed at the weekend to seal the paint and protect it, once dry we are ready to go, normally over night does the trick.

Looking to start the final painting of this series in the next week or so, my goal was to have them done before Christmas but i've also got a commission to start, working full time and horses to look after things can get pretty hectic, not to mention Christmas parties etc to attend!
The painting though is a must it frees my brains, chills me out and keeps me happy, so until my hands give up I hope I always find the time to fit some in.
